Shire Platoon (シャイア プラトーン Shaia puratōn?) is a platoon that appears in the ALDNOAH.ZERO television series. It is one of many Kataphrakt platoons of the United Forces of Earth.
History
The platoon consists of three pilots and their KG-7 Areions.
Shire Platoon is deployed in their Areions along with Falabella Platoon to defend against Count Saazbaum when he enters U.E. HQ with his Martian Kataphrakt Dioscuria. They are all killed when the Dioscuria launches multiple missiles at both platoons. (AZ: "Wind, Snow and Stars")
Trivia
- The platoon is named after a horse-breed called, Shire, which coincides with the mythological horse names for the United Earth Kataphrakts.
