The M4 Carbine (M4 カービン M4 kābin?) is the standard-issue infantry weapon featured in the ALDNOAH.ZERO Second Cour television series. The weapon is an American-made, gas-operated 5.56mm NATO carbine based on the older M16 assault rifle. In real life, the M4 is used by military and paramilitary forces in 35 countries. The weapon has a rate of fire of between 750 and 950 rounds per minute and an effective range of between 500 and 600 meters. It is sometimes equipped with a scope for long-distance aiming. Some UFE soldiers also use M4s with holographic / red dot sights for improved target acquisition, laser sights for night combat and/or assisted aiming, and grips for better handling.
