Klancain just stole the big trophy...≡ 3 ≡
Well, that bethroal was most likely out of necessity to have the full authority as the empress of Vers.
And in case any of you were confused about Asseylum's conversation with her grandfather, here is an explanation:
Last time Rayvers talked to "her" (was actually Lemrina, but he didn't know that) she was quite supportive of the war. He probably didn't believe Asseylum actually meant that and told her to continue so she wouldn't make a mistake on a whim because that's what it probably looked like initially. Also, his bad health didn't help either.
After that he "woke up" and told asseylum that she should suceed him and told her to use the power of Aldnoah to bring mankind happiness and to not misuse it. I guess it was at this point he realized Asseylum was serious about that and that he couldn't lead his country any more.
About Klancain being sent on direct orders of Rayvers himself to investigate dafuq actually happened:
He may be quite sick, but he probably felt that something was off with Asseylum so he chose to send Klancain, probably because he knew that Klancain would not betray the princess no matter what. It takes between 150 and 300 days to travel from earth to mars, depending on how far the planets are at the moment from each other and how fast you can go. So the most likely scenario is that Rayvers sent Klancain on his mission quite soon after learning of his granddaughter's survival. Which is why he arrived this late.
At the rate things are going. If Lemrina sides with Slaine, there will be a civil war among all of VERS. Slaine wants to destroy the rest of the UFE, however they may well side with Asseylums faction. This pits the Conqueres against the Loyalists.
I've heard of some conjecture that after all is well and done. Asseylum may well abdicate as Empress and leave the VERS Empire to Count Cruhteo (Klancain). This does make sense because she may well after the fact and use her persona (Seylum) to live peacefully with Inaho most likely.
Looking at the larger picture, the underlying objective of Slaines hasn't been revealed.
From here on the ending to everything is up to conjecture.
Well, Lemrina siding with Slaine wouldn't make much difference in the current battle.
But yeah, I am pretty sure it will boil down to Slaine's followers vs. Asseylum's followers while Inaho settles his score with Slaine. There were death flags all over the place before the battle began so we can expect that quite a few of the main cast may die.
Unfortunately, Asseylum can't just drop her title as empress once the war is over. You see, the title of ruler of Vers is exclusive to someone with royal blood and an illegitimate child of the deceased Gilzeria just won't cut it (her existence is supposed to be a secret anyways).
BUT Lemrina could use her holographic disguise to help her sister out leading her country while Asseylum goes after Inaho. Because why not? Lemrina has proven to make a very good imitation if her sister, she's perfect as a double for her while Asseylum wants to be elsewhere.
You forget Lemrina doesn't like the royal house and she and Asseylum are not so close, besides she's shown to be untrustworthy, Just as untrustworthy as slaine.
Your remark about a love story doesn't fit, since the vers emperor is not in his right mind, he can no longer rule, It would be, I was shocked at her announcement, as was Inaho I bet.
i a bit sad, and angry too... actually its the closest story to reality, where you hope for somthing but its twisted away just in the last minutes before you reach it,... if i were inaho then i will do an all out battle for the last war,... because someone that have the same priority as my self going to marry another man.... just my mind though
I don't know what the device that the real princess activated, was it a generator?
Are you referring to the chamber with the rectangular stones which "teleported" her to mars so she could talk to her grandfather?
That is called an "Audience Chamber", a device which projects a holographic image (and your 5 senses) onto mars, allowing you to move your holographic image around as if you were actually there. Every landing castle is equipped with one of those. It is unknown whether you need the Aldnoah activation factor to use it, since Slaine, who used it in season 1 already had the activation factor at that point (though he didn't know it yet)
I'm refering to the device at the end of the episode she activated, It looked like a giant metal donut.
The one at the end of the last episode? That is the first Aldnoah reactor the terrans officially got.
An Aldnoah generator basically has 2 components:
1) The Aldnoah Drive itself. That is the shining crystal ball. To activate, someone with the activation factor needs to touch it to power it up.
2) A number of round shaped devices arranged near the crystal ball which start shining when the Aldnoah Drive powers up. Not sure about their purpose, but it seems like they need to be somewhat near the Aldnoah drive. Perhaps they "harvest" the light from the Aldnoah drive, who knows.
On the terran Aldnoah reactor, these are placed in the donut-shaped device behind the Aldnoah Drive.
Landing castles have them arranged on the walls of the huge cylindirical room that contains the Aldnoah Drive.
The Deucalion has them on the floor below its Aldnoah Drive (when it is retracted)
What do you think?
